Who delivers your offer to the seller?

A Seller Lead is an offer that comes directly from a buyer who contacted you (directly or through their real estate agent) about buying your property. A Buyer Lead is an offer that comes to your real estate agent.

The difference between the two is that a seller lead gives you more information about who’s buying your home and why they’re interested in it. A buyer lead comes from an agent, so all you have to go on are their words regarding what kind of people are looking at your property.

When searching for homes online, most buyers look through open house listings or search using real estate agents who work with them as partners. Some will browse MLS listings on their own… but some don’t want to do any legwork whatsoever. They’ll simply call up an agent or broker and ask, “Who delivers my offer directly to the sellers?” Until now, this was inconceivable – but technology means anything is possible!

If you search for real estate listings on Craigslist or any other classified ads website, you’ll find an option to “Email Seller”. Some agents pay for the service (us included) for this additional exposure. These agents are selling themselves as direct-to-seller agents. Clients who don’t want to work with brokers exclusively call up their favorite agent and say, “Direct me.”

While it’s not possible to tell whether or not a buyer is actually serious about making an offer online, at least you know that they’re already shopping for your property because they’ve seen it online! Sometimes buyers simply ask who delivers offers directly to sellers so they can have more information before calling them back.
