Cormorants are also known as shags. They are medium to large birds. Their body weight is between 0.35 – 5 kilograms (0.77 – 11.02 ib). The wingspan of cormorants is 45 – 100 centimeters (18 – 19 inches). Most of the species have dark wings. Their bill is long, hooked, and thin.
