Many species of baby beetles exist mainly on grounds and lawns. Baby beetles take birth during the summer season. Their main task is to eat food and become adult beetle.

What Baby Beetles Look Like?

Baby beetle is a C-shaped larva of beetle. Usually, it has light brown to black color, which may differ in shades. Like other insects, the main body components of the baby beetle resemble its parents. Baby beetle is no longer than 1/2 inch in length. They remain under the soil until developing into an adult beetle. Baby beetles have cylindrical bodies curved in the shape of C.

They have lighter color as compared to their adult versions.

The mouthparts of baby beetles come with the ability to chew grassroots and to create air holes. Their body structure includes the head attached to the thorax and abdomen. These main body parts also have some other smaller parts attached to them. Smaller body parts include three pairs of legs, compound eyes, and antennas.

Baby beetles have soft bodies like caterpillars which you might not like to touch. They look the same as caterpillars, except they have fewer legs than caterpillars. Baby beetles have six legs which distinguish them from caterpillars. Their legs exist under the head area, mainly grouped. However, baby beetles are considered relatively less mobile; they remain in a specific area. The heads of baby beetles are quite hard and darker. They also have three additional golden hairs on the abdomen.
