How To Remove Crayon Stains From Sofa

When you detect crayon stains on your suede couch, use these strategies to get them out as quickly as possible. That stain could become persistent when you delay.

When you see crayon traces on your suede couch, it’s critical to respond fast. If you have suede furniture, suede cleaner and ice may be all you need to remove the stain. Pure vinegar could be used as a replacement for a suede cleaner if you don’t even have any on hand. In a freezer bag, place an ice cube and place it on the crayon stain for a few minutes. 

The wax residue will freeze and harden, allowing you to scrape it off using a butter knife’s dull edge. Scrape lightly and keep the knife parallel to the couch; don’t hold it at an angle or press hard enough to dig into the couch’s fibers. 

The objective is to remove as much wax from the suede’s surface as possible. Use a dab of vinegar to get rid of crayon stains on your couch. Using an undiluted white vinegar cloth, lightly dampen it. Always use a clean white cloth or sponge to remove the crayon: a colored cloth may transfer the color of the crayon to the couch instead of absorbing it.

Blot the solvent onto the stain with the cloth, starting at the edges and gradually moving toward the center. The idea is to keep the couch as dry as possible so do not wet the material. The stain on the suede should transfer to the fabric.

When you’re done, press a clean, dry white cloth into the couch to soak up any leftover vinegar.

If the stain persists, dab it with a clean white cloth dipped in suede cleaning. Working from the stain’s perimeter toward the middle, do so once again. Using a dry white cloth, wipe away any remaining cleaner from the suede.
