How To Change Your Grades On Powerschool

Powerschool Admins change the Final Grade of each student by changing Historical Grades. Powerschool Admins have the ability to save grades in order to create copies of the Grades that are entered into the Gradebook by teachers. Once administrators have stored Grades, the historical grades can be edited manually. Be aware that Gradebook is only able to be modified by teachers, Admins are not given the power to modify the Gradebook. To alter a student’s final Grade, follow these steps:

Final Grade Change

To alter a student’s final grade, you must have administrator access to Powerschool. After logging in, you’ll have to choose the student and then change the grade in Historical Grades. You need to store grades prior to going on. If you’re not sure how to save grades then talk for assistance at the SBTC Powerschool Help Desk. Change a student’s Final Grade:

1.) From the Start Page choose the Student Record.

2.) After you have chosen the student’s record, you’ll be required to click “Historical Grades” on the left navigation bar.

3.) On the Historical Grades page you will be able to select the Final Grade that must be modified. If you don’t find your Final Grade then please store Grades.

4.)The Edit Stored Grade will display. Scroll down to change the following:

• Grade
• Percent
• GPA Points (if applicable)
• Teacher Comment (if appropriate)

5.) After you are done editing the Final Grade Click Submit to save the changes.

After saving the changes you made, please go on to print a new report card or a progress report. Be aware that every change to grades made within Historical Grades has a Change History timestamp. This will allow you to track the changes made and by whom. If you’re running report cards that have “Current Grades” then you are not going to see this change. Make sure to change Your report Card so that it pulls Historical Grades to see the changes you’ve made.
