Color images on shrink plastic before it shrinks with shrink plastic markers, inks, pencils, and acrylic paint. Plastic shrinks, resulting in a more intense and vibrant shade of color. In order to compensate for this, choose a shade that is one or two shades lighter than the one you require.
What kind of paint do you use on Shrinky Dinks?
When working with Shrinky Dinks, you should only use acrylics that are based on ink. Ink-based acrylics are extremely fine pigments that are held in an emulsion similar to water. To achieve the thinnest possible consistency, acrylic paint made from ink must be shrunk.
How do you paint Shrinky Dinks?
Follow the Shrinky Dink package instructions and bake. Bake with the painted side up on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. If your keychains are a little curled when they come out of the oven, use a warm spatula to flatten them out right away.
